Dr. Childs earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Salem State College. His athletic background and profound passion for helping others inspired his journey into the field of physical therapy.
Dr. Childs has spent the past decade specializing in outpatient orthopedics, treating a wide range of orthopedic and sports-related injuries. A strong advocate for manual therapy, he has focused his post-graduate education on mastering advanced, evidence-based techniques, including trigger-point dry needling and spinal manipulation. He is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a graduate of the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship at Bellin College, earning him the prestigious title of Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Science degree in Physical Therapy through Bellin College. Dr. Childs is passionate about collaborating with patients to create tailored treatment and exercise plans that alleviate pain and empower them to perform at their peak potential.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Childs serves as an assistant professor in the Physical Therapy program at Franklin Pierce University, where he teaches Kinesiology, Musculoskeletal I-III, and Sports Physical Therapy. Additionally, he is an adjunct faculty member at Tufts University, contributing to their cervicothoracic course. Despite his busy schedule, he cherishes his limited free time, which he spends reading, working out, and enjoying quality moments with his family.
