Ross Childs, PT, DPT
Orthopedic Clinical Specialist
Performance Enhancement Specialist
Dr. Childs graduated from Franklin Pierce University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Salem State College. His participation in athletics and passion to help others directed him to the field of physical therapy.
Dr. Childs has worked in an outpatient orthopedic setting for the last decade, treating a variety of orthopedic and sports injuries. He is a firm believer in manual therapy and has dedicated his post-graduate studies to learning advanced and evidence-based techniques such as trigger-point dry needling and spinal manipulation. He is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is a graduate of the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship at Bellin College, earning him fellow status with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. He enjoys working with patients to design and implement a specific treatment and exercise program that gets them out of pain and performing at their best.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Childs is an assistant professor in the Physical Therapy program at Franklin Pierce University where he teaches Kinesiology, Musculoskeletal I-III, and Sports Physical Therapy. He is also an adjunct faculty at Tufts University where he assists with their cervicothoracic course. In his very little spare time, he enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with his family.
