What to Expect

Prior to your first visit, we enjoy talking to you on the phone so we can get to know you better. We want to know your biggest concerns as well as your wants, needs, and goals. We want to know about how your pain or condition started and as well as what you have done for treatments. Based on this conversation, it may be worth coming in for a free discovery session where we can perform a mini evaluation and discuss which service may be best for you. If it is determined on the phone that you want to start treatment immediately, we can schedule for initial evaluation as well as your treatment.

New patients can fill out the paperwork online or in the office. If you were provided with a referral for physical therapy, you can bring them to your first therapy visit. You will be evaluated and treated by a Doctor of Physical Therapy in a private treatment room and there is the option of utilizing the gym area if that suits your needs.

By the end of your visit, you should have a very good understanding of what is causing your pain, why it started and why can be done about it. You will feel more confident about your condition and a plan will be developed to get you back to doing the things that you enjoy!

Dr. Childs is the best physical therapist I have ever been to! He is efficient in his diagnostic abilities, and offers treatment on your first session so you leave feeling better than when you arrived! He offers well balanced home exercises so the impairments improve on a daily basis. His “cash only” (he accepts cards) clinic is also very convenient, as health insurance is taken out of the equation. No stressing to determine whether he’s in network or not! If you need a physical therapist, he is the one to see!

Dr. Ross Child’s is the best physical therapist I have been to. He has help me with my shoulder, back, and a quad injury. He is by far the most knowledgeable person I know and he explains everything so you understand. I highly recommend him to anyone I know.

I cannot speak highly enough about Ross! I have been seeing him regularly for the past 3 years. He has gotten me through some rough post surgical rehab as well as keeping my joints and muscles greased up to prepare for running events. It's clear he loves what he does and I couldn't have done some of the things I've done without his help. He constantly strives to keep me active. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Ross has taken my broken body and allowed it keep moving, keep working, and power through all of the abuse I put it through. He never told me I had to stop. Instead, he worked with me to determine which movements to ease up on or ways I could make them less painful. He has used so many different methods to help me including active release, dry needling, joint mobilization, and exercise bands to name a few. He loves to explain what is happening and why and then tell me some of the ways I can fix it. He is a great listener who is incredibly knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend Ross!

Ross is the reason why I have an active lifestyle despite a life changing injury. He’s a wonderful resource, giving great solutions to physical issues without the typical ‘take drugs, ice and rest’. His calm demeanor along with a genuine interest in your health makes working with him a really good experience. He knows his stuff and his methods work.
